Alma Louise Shanholtz Boyd, 71, of Winchester, Virginia died Tuesday, January 10, 2012 in the Winchester Medical Center.
Mrs. Boyd was born in 1940 in Inkerman, West Virginia, the daughter of the late Arthur and Gladys Shanholtz. She was a material handler for Berryville Graphics until her retirement after 20 years of service. She loved her grand dog, Peanut, very much.
Mrs. Boyd married Ronald Dale Boyd on December 17, 1960. Mr. Boyd preceded her in death on June 11, 2005.
Surviving are two children, Bonnie Gail Boyd of Winchester, VA and Ricky Dale Boyd and wife Pam of Cross Junction, VA; three sisters, Edna Rosenberger and Carolyn Himelright, both of Winchester, VA, and Catherine Dorman of Pensacola, FL, and four brothers, Hoy Shanholtzer, Roy Shanholtz and Ellis Shanholtzer all of Winchester, and Freddie Shanholtz of Stephens City, VA.
She was preceded in death by a sister and three brothers.
A funeral service will be conducted at 2:00 P.M. on Saturday at Omps Funeral Home, South Chapel with Reverend Jason Duley officiating. Interment will be in Shenandoah Memorial Park.
Pallbearers will be Tony Rosenberger, Clarence McFadden, Robert Gaither, Jr., and W. Douglas Bromley, Jr.
The family will receive friends on Friday from 6:00 – 8:00 P.M. at Omps Funeral Home, South Chapel.
