A memorial service for Dale D. Hodgins of McMinnville will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday in the chapel of Macy & Son Funeral Directors, McMinnville. The Rev. Jim Peterson of the Lafayette Community Church will officiate. Private interment will be in the Masonic Cemetery, McMinnville.
Mr. Hodgins died Feb. 17, 2002, in Willamette Valley Medical Center, McMinnville. He was 53.
He was born April 21, 1948, in McMinnville, the son of Orville Stanley and June Arletha Gibbon Hodgins. He was raised in Lafayette. He graduated from McMinnville High School in 1967.
He served in the Army for three years, then returned to the McMinnville area. He worked for the city of Amity for four years and for Keizer Excavating for two years.
He and Debbie Little were married Oct. 6, 1972, in Dayton.
He moved to McMinnville in 1976 and worked for Cascade Steel, McMinnville, for 23 years. Mr. Hodgins enjoyed hunting and outdoor recreation. He also liked spending time with his grandchildren, family barbecues and working in his vegetable garden.
Survivors include his wife; a son, Travis Hodgins of McMinnville; two daughters, Nanette Thompson of Amity and Angella Hodgins of Newberg; a brother, Bruce Hodgins of McMinnville; a sister, Myra Robles McMinnville; and seven grandchildren.
