Mrs. Martha E. Ames, of Pickford, died at 9 a.m. Sunday at her home, after a short illness. She was born in Pickford July 13, 1890, and was a life long resident. Her husband Arthur, preceded her in death Jan 18, 1959, a son Cecil, died Apr. 21, 1964. Survivors include two sons, Kinnee and Lyle Ames, both of Pickford, 10 grandchildren and seven great grandchildren.Other survivors include four brothers, Bert Kinnee, Flushing; Otto Kinnee, Lansing; William Kinnee and Herman Kinnee, of Kingsford, and two sisters, Mrs. Lawrence (Effie) Hall, Flint, and Mrs. Veste (Clara) Welch, Kingsford.

She was a member of First Church of Christ Scientist in the Sault. Friends may call at the Quinnell Funeral home beginning at 2 p.m. Tuesday. Funeral services will be held from the funeral home at 1 p.m. Wednesday, with Mr. Carlton Ziegle, First Church of Christ Scientist reader, officiating. Burial will be in the Fairview Cemetery in the spring. Pallbearers will be six nephews, Otto Storey, Wayne Storey, Mason Storey, Voyle Storey, James T. Storey, and Tom Storey.
