Graveside services will be held 11 a.m. Saturday in Parkhill Cemetery with the Rev. Jerry Speer officiating.
Mr. Williams was born on April 3, 1935, son of Fred and Sarah Green Baskin Williams. He was owner of Fred L. Williams Upholstery and Langley-Williams Tax Service. He was a member and Deacon of Northside Baptist Church. He was preceded in death by his wife, Charlene and his son Jerry Williams, a brother, Frank Williams and two sisters, Margaret Nugent and Avis Johnson.
Survivors include his wife, Bessie Wade Williams of Columbus; son, Phillip and his wife Sandy of Columbus; daughter-in-law, Nan Williams of Columbus; granddaughter, Kristin Williams; grandsons, Jacob Williams, Jeremy Williams,. and Zachary Williams, all of Columbus; step-sons, Paul Plunkett and his wife Cathy of Salem, Ala., and Robert Plunkett of Pullman, Mich.; step-daughters, Rhonda Ogletree of Seale, Ala., and Audrey McConnell of Smiths, Ala.; eleven step-grandchildren, and one step-great grandchild; a sister, Mildred Shehane of Columbus; brothers, Ted Baskin of Columbus and Earl Foster of Macon.
