He is survived by his wife, Sabrina; two daughters, Elizabeth (Travis) Sievers of Winchester, Emily (companion, Tyler Madson) Schnake of Mount Sterling; one son, Eric (companion, Danielle Arendt) Schnake of Winchester; four grandchildren, Gabrielle, Cameron and Mia Sievers of Winchester and Justyce Hunter of Mount Sterling; two sisters, Judith (fiancé, Robert Aldrich) Amos of St. Petersburg, Fla., and Jeanne (Gary) Hamilton of Palmetto, Fla.; and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
He was a member of the St. Mark's Catholic Church in Winchester. He graduated from Winchester High School. During high school, Stephen was a member of FFA. He attended college at SIU and Spoon River Junior College. He worked at Capitol Records in Jacksonville, farmed several years in Scott County and worked at AC Humko in Jacksonville. He was an avid St. Louis Cardinal fan and followed local area sports teams. He loved spending time with his family, especially with his grandchildren.
Services were entrusted to Mackey Daws Funeral Home of Winchester, Illinois.
