Arthur Kappele was born in Canada and emmigrated to the United States where he met and married Eleanor Elizabeth Bassett. Together they had three sons, James, Dohn and Bruce. After a divorce, he married Madeline Turner who was a wonderful step mother to his children. Arthur was with her until she died.
