Betty E. Beetchenow, 87, of Monroe, WA, passed away June 27, 2010.

She was born June 2, 1923 in Methow, WA. Betty grew up on an orchard in the Methow Valley. Betty and Ed operated a dairy farm in Monroe, from 1953 until their retirement in 1992. She worked on the farm, was active in the 4H youth activities and was a member of the Church of Christ in Monroe.

She was a devoted mother, grandmother and a friend to all that knew her. Her smile and the twinkle of her eyes will be truly missed by all, along with her homemade fried chicken, mashed potatoes and gravy.

Betty was preceded in death by her husband, Ed, on June 26, 1997; and by her sister, Doris.

She is survived by her son, Brad Beetchenow; and daughter, Vicki (Scott) Furrer; her sister, Lois Dickinson; her grandsons, Chris, Buddy and Aaron.

Visitation will be from 12 to 7 p.m. on Friday, at Purdy & Kerr w/Dawson Funeral Home.
Funeral service will be at 3 p.m., Saturday, July 3, at Purdy & Kerr w/Dawson in Monroe, WA.
Graveside service will be held at 1 p.m., Sunday, July 4, in Omak City Cemetery.
