Mrs. Abbie L. Tilton, wife of Andrew J. Tilton, Weir Street, Taunton, died Wedneday night in a Fall River hospital after a long illness. Mrs. Tilton was born in East Freetown May 30, 1868, the daughter of Job and Abbie L. Wilbur, as passed the greater part of her life on Pleasant Street, Assonet. She had been a resident of Taunton for the past 10 years and had many friends there as well as in Assonet.
Besides her husband she leaves two sons, Eugene B. Wetherell of Taunton and William P. Wetherell of Assonet; a daughter, Mrs. Frances J. Fielding of Providence; seven grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; three brothers, Charles Wilbur of Taunton, John Wilbur of Lakeville, and William Wilbur, also of Lakeville; and two sisters, Mrs. Celia A. Demoranville and Mrs. Rebecca Reynolds of East Freetown. The funeral services will be held at Mrs. Tilton's former home on Pleasant Street, Assonet, tomorrow afternoon.
