Zulema Garza, 90, went home to her Lord Jesus Christ on Monday, January 9, 2012. Born on November 8, 1921 in Sombreretillo, NL, Mexico to Santos Garza and Felipa Gonzalez. Zulema was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 55 years, Robert M. Garza. She is survived by sons, Robert Garza Jr. and wife Eileen, Oscar F. Garza and wife Elaine; daughters, Lydia I. Cook and husband Klaus, Mary Jane Tippen and husband Phillip; 8 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; 1 brother 1 sister; many nieces and nephews. Visitation will be from 5:00-8:00 p.m., with a vigil and rosary service at 7:00 p.m. Wednesday, January 11, 2012 in the Chapel of Earthman Resthaven. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:00 a.m., Thursday, January 12, 2012 at St. Leo the Great Catholic Church, 2131 Lauder Rd., Houston, Texas 77039 and rite of committal will follow at Earthman Resthaven Cemetery. The family wishes to extend their gratitude to the staff of Memorial Herman Hospice for the special care they provided.
