Tony was born in Hillsboro, Texas, to the late Floyd Leon and Edna Mae (Sanders) Young. He was a graduate of Hillsboro High School. For many years he worked at Cercon and as a truck driver. A very talented person when it came to working with his hands, Tony worked as a carpenter building houses and doing all types of carpentry work. He was very instrumental in helping build George W. Bush's weekend home in Crawford. Tony loved his family very much and was an animal lover of all types. He enjoyed the lake, fishing, going out and spending time with his friends, and taking care of the goats and anything else that needed to be done on the farm.
Survivors include his children, Apryl and Tyler Young, both of Whitney; grandchildren, Dazia Apland and Noah Hunt, both of Whitney; sister, Teresa Allen and husband, Dennis, of Hillsboro; nephew and niece, Levin Ainsworth and wife, Melissa, and Kelly Ainsworth, all of Hillsboro; great-niece and nephews, Cheyanne Ainsworth, Christian Ainsworth, Scott Ainsworth, Evan Jones, and Kason Ainsworth all of Hillsboro; the mother of his children, Carolyn Ray, of Whitney; special brother and sister, Jay Lloyd White, of Hillsboro and Kay Perry Leonard, of Alvarado; and several aunts, uncles, cousins, and many friends.
