Former Resident of Clyde Marie's husband, Walter A. Porter, died in March of 1985. Survived by daughter Joan Maruska of Mt. Hermon, CA and son Calvin Porter of Angel's Camp, CA. Marie was employed by Contra Costa County. She was a member of the 99's and the Whirly Girls, women's flying associations. Marie served on the Kern County Grand Jury. Marie was instrumental in securing parkland for the town of Clyde. Marie spent her life caring for and enjoying her grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren.
