ISABELLE DODGE GREENE

Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, August 1, 2017 at 12:00 PM in Covenant United Methodist Church in Lafayette for Isabelle Dodge Greene, 87, who died on Saturday, July 29, 2017 at her residence in Lafayette surrounded by her family.

Graveside services will be held on Wednesday, August 2, 2017 at 10:00 AM in Pleasant Valley Methodist Cemetery in Minden.

Reverend Dr. Ramonalynn Bethley, Senior Pastor with Covenant United Methodist Church will conduct the Services.

Survivors include one son, Jesse L. "Chuck" Greene, Jr. and his wife, Patricia; two grandsons, Jesse A. Greene II and Jordan Daniel Greene and his wife, Chelsea; two great grandchildren, Amalie Greene and Patrick Greene; one sister, Mercedese Dodge Ivins; one brother, Mercer Dodge and his wife, Jessie; and many nieces, nephews, cousins and a host of friends.

She was preceded in death by one daughter, Carolyn Greene Patrick; her husband, Jesse L. "Buddy" Greene; two sisters, Marion Culpepper and Sarah Berry; and her parents, Asberry Mercer Dodge, Sr. and Susie Marshall Dodge.

Isabelle Dodge Greene was born in Knoxville, Tennessee to Asberry Mercer Dodge, Sr. and the former Susie Marshall. She volunteered for 30 years as a "Pink Lady" at Lafayette General Medical Center and was a member of the Acadiana Republican Women and the Acadiana Women's Club. Mrs. Greene was also a Charter Member of Covenant United Methodist Church in Lafayette. She was a loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and friend to all, and will be dearly missed.

Pallbearers will be Jesse A. Greene, II, Jordan D. Greene, Louis Howell, Bill Hollenshead, Jr., Robbie Greene and Gary Greene. Honorary pallbearers will be Patrick Greene, Floyd Crain, J.D. Greene, George Michael Greene, Bobby Greene and Jimmy Berry.

The family requests that visitation be observed on Tuesday, August 1, 2017 from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM at Covenant United Methodist Church in Lafayette.

The family would like to give special thanks to the doctors, nurses and staff of the 4th floor at Lafayette General Medical Center and Hospice of Acadiana for their kindness, compassion and gentle care given to Mrs. Greene and her family.

Arrangements for Isabelle Greene.
Martin and Castillle will be in charge of the arrangements. Viewing will be from 10am to 12pm at Covenant United Methodist Church 300 E Marshall, Lafayette La. Tuesday Aug. 1st with a memorial service at Noon with a reception to follow.

Graveside services will be on Wednesday Aug 2nd at 10 a.m. At the Pleasant Valley Cemetery. Minden La., Hwy 371 North . Small reception to follow.
