Sarah Day was born 31 May, 1731 in Isle of Wight Co, VA. Her father was Capt. James Day who was born abt. 1700 and he died at sea before June 11, 1747 which was the date that his will was probated. Sarah was named in his will and she was orphaned at the age of 11. Her mother died before that and Dorthy said she did not know who she was nor when it happened. Sarah was raised after that by her Uncle Thomas Day and his wife, Martha.

1. Elizabeth Boone was born, date unknown, about 1752, in either PA or NC. She died, date unknown, sometime between 1832 and 1833, probably in Madison Co., KY. Sept. 26, 1832 is the date of her brother's military application (thank you Janet de la Peña #47119472 for the clarification); married William White in Camden, Kershaw, South Carolina in 1772; died 26 September 1832 in Madison, Kentucky
As a young child, she and her parents and some of her siblings, left Rowan County, North Carolina, during the Indian outbreaks of 1759. They were living in South Carolina, when her brother, Squire Boone, was born in 1760. (The Boone Family, by Ella Hazel A. Spraker) She married William White probably in South Carolina, and they resided close to or with her Boone family in the Camden District on the Congaree River in South Carolina. In 1779, the family of Samuel Boone Sr. left South Carolina to settle in Kentucky. Elizabeth White made an affidavit in Clark County, Kentucky for her brother, Samuel Boone, Jr., when he applied for his military pension on 26September 1832. In her affidavit, she stated that she lived in Madison County, Kentucky, was over 80 years old, and the widow of William White.

Squire Boone was born in South Carolina where his parents had moved to avoid the depredations of the Indians on the western borders of North Carolina where they had formerly lived. There is no further record of Squire up to the time of his enlistment from the Camden District of South Carolina on the Congaree River in 1777. His revolutionary record is as follows: He enlisted June or July 1777 for three months as Sargent under Captain John Cook; Colonel Robert Goodwin, South Carolina. He enlisted June or July 1779 for three months as Sargent under Captains John McChord or Robert McGowan and Colonel John Russell. From 1780 to 1783 he served in Kentucky under Captain William Hayes and was frequently engaged against Indians in defense of the frontier. He also served under General George Rogers Clark in his expeditions against the Piqua towns, and was seriously injured in the Babble of Blue Licks. The record also states that the pensioner was a son of Samuel Boone and a nephew of Daniel and gives considerable data concerning his wife and children.

4. Sarah, born 24 November 1763, South Carolina; died 31 December 1848, Adams County, Ohio; married 13 March 1782, Thomas Brooks (1760-1800)
Thomas Brooks, was a well-known scout and Indian fighter. His family was from Farquier County, Virginia. He went to Kentucky in the early days of its settlement, and with Daniel Boone, Jacob Boone and others laid out the town of Limestone (now Maysville), where he lived until his death. He served three years as a private in the VA Continental Line, for which he received a grant of land. In Mason County, Kentucky there are records of land transfers signed by Thomas Brooks and Sarah Boone Brooks in 1791.
