Nellie Autry, 96 of Tonopah, Arizona, passed away on January 1, 2012. Nellie was born in Broxton, GA on September 9, 1915 as the youngest of three children to Claude and Rosalie Calvert.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her brother William Glen Calvert and sister Clifford Mae Calvert Pounders. Nellie was married to Archie Lee Autry who preceded her in death. Their eldest son Ben Rufus Autry, also preceded her in death.
She was employed with Hialeah Hospital of Hialeah, FL for 25 years until 1976 when she retired as a well respected member of the houskeeping department.
She is survived by her five children, Glen Thomas Autry, Bobby Gene Autry, Nila D. Autry Havener, William Archie Autry and Rhonda M. Autry Sutton, twenty three grandchildren, fifty four great grandchildren and eleven great great grandchildren.
Visitation will be 4 to 8 pm, Monday, January 9, 2012 at the Community Church of Joy, 21000 N. 75th Ave., Glendale, AZ . Pastor Clay McGuire of Lighthouse Fellowship will be officiating the services to be held at 10 am Tuesday, January 10, 2012 at the Community Church of Joy.
