Robert was the youngest son of Martha E (Davis) and William Vinson Alexander. A native Oklahoman, he was killed in action during the Battle of Saint-Mihiel, France in World War I during September of 1918. He is buried near his parents in Rose Hill Cemetery, Chickasha, Oklahoma.
