Born April 22, 1915, in Mtn. Dale, W.Va., she was the daughter of the late Charles and Electia (Rodeheaver) Reckart. She was also preceded in death by two husbands, James Cecil Engle and Alva Thomas; and one brother, Palmer Reckart.
Mrs. Thomas was a homemaker and a member of the Mtn. Dale Church of the Brethren.
She is survived by one sister, Venora Umbel, Friendsville; one sister-in-law, Betty Jean Reckart, Bruceton Mills, W.Va.; and several nieces and nephews who loved her very much.
Friends were received at the Newman Funeral Home, Friendsville, where a service was held on Sunday, March 6, with the Rev. Dana Umbel officiating.
Interment was in the Reckart Cemetery, Mtn. Dale.
