Ellie Imogene Hays, 70, passed away at 2:15 a.m. Wednesday, November 9, 2011 at her home. Born Feb. 28, 1941 in Nortonville, Ky, she was a daughter of Milton and Linda (Martin) Justice. She married Everett Hays Sept. 29, 1972 in Granite City. He survives. She was a 45 year member of Christ Gospel Church in Granite City. In addition to her husband, she is survived by 2 daughters, Belinda (Kevin) Boatwright of Mitchell, Ill. and Cassie (Joe) Laboray of Granite City; 5 sons, Don (Kimberly) Hays of Maryville, Curtis (Crystal) Clark, Richard (Lisa) Hays, and Derick Hays, all of Granite City, and Kenneth (Sabrina) Hays of Jeffersonville, Ind.; 12 grandchildren; 2 sisters, Myrtle Davis and Lucille Scott; and 4 brothers, Zeak, Bobby, James and Lonzo Justice. She was preceded in death by her parents; a brother, Carl Justice; and 2 sisters, Margaret Raymer and Dolly Payne.
