Mrs. Cressel was born April 10, 1956, in Charlottesville, and was the daughter of her parents who survive.
Mrs. Cressel enjoyed flowers and gardening and photographing humming birds and loved spending time with family.
On Sept. 30, 1977, she married her husband, who survives.
Also surviving are three sons, four daughters, three brothers, two sisters, 18 grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren and 16 aunts and uncles.
She was preceded in death by grandparents, Herbert "Bluford" and Mandy Collier Frazier and David and Sarah Shaver McCauley.
Funeral services will be held 2 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 2, 2008, at the Kyger Funeral Home Chapel in Elkton with the Rev. Clyde Plum officiating.
The family will receive friends 1 to 2 p.m. prior to the service and also following the service.
