Mrs. John Boyce Smith, 88, died at the Desha County Hospital at Dumas last week.(1957) She was a Methodist and lived at Briggsville for many years.
Survivors include nine sons, Maurice and Leo of Dumas, N.N. of Pickens, Odell of Hot Springs, Charlie of Tulsa, Will of Atoka, Okla., John A. of Shallowater, Texas, Lloyd of Lodi, Calif, and Opal of Dexter, Oregon; three daughters, Mrs. J. M. Benefield of El Centro, Calif., Mrs. R. N. Crockett of Dermont, Mrs. John Spessard of Mansfield; 27 grandchildren, 48 great grandchildren and three great great-grandchildren.
