Mrs. Mary Belton Dillon, age 82, well known Christian lady of this community, who fell dead at her home Sunday afternoon, April 19th. Death was due to a stroke of paralysis. She made her home with her daughter, who lives near Pleasant Grove. She was united with the Christian church in her girlhood days at Horsepasture. Funeral services were held from the late home Monday afternoon. Surviving are four children, 24 grand children, five great grand children, one sister and two brothers, three sons, J. L. and W. T. Dillon, of Richmond, and J. W. Dillon of Rocky Mt., one daughter, Mrs. J. W. S. Spencer of Pleasant Grove; one sister, Mrs. Sallie Shelton, of Fontaine; two brothers, Dock Belton of Danville and Jim Belton of Roanoke. She was buried in the family burial ground near the home.
