Annie was quite a politician, Bible student and philosopher. But perhaps her most noted quality outside her family was her mathematical genius. In the days prior to the advanced technology we know today, she was frequently called upon by business and friends to figure their compound interest on long term notes.
She was an advocate of "women lib" long before such became a popular political movement and actively supported the constitutional amendment which gave women the right to vote.
