WILMINGTON -- Betty Bausch, age 77, of Wilmington, NC went to be with the Lord on Wednesday October 12, 2011 surrounded by her family. She was born on January 5, 1934 in Darlington, SC, daughter of the late Edward Adams and Mary King Adams. Betty was a life long member of the American Legion Auxiliary and was an active member of the Unit 10 in Wilmington, a member of the Sunset Park Baptist Church and loved bingo, bowling and the game, mahjong. She is preceded in death by her parents and step- father, Johnny P. Biggs; sisters, Mildred and Lillian; brothers, Johnny and Harry. Betty is survived by her husband, Robert, who she married on April 19, 1952; son, Kevin(Gloria); daughter, Melissa (Suhail); grandchildren, Charles, Robert, Derrick and Megan; great grand daughter, Leigha; sister, Viola Cox; brother, Edwin Adams; many nieces , nephews and good friends who loved her dearly. A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 3:00PM on Saturday October 15, 2011 at Sunset Park Baptist Church, 231 Central Blvd Wilmington, NC 28401. Memorial Contributions may be made to Domestic Violence Shelter and Services, Inc., 2901 Market Street, Wilmington, NC 28409, American Legion Auxiliary Post 10 702 Pine Grove Drive Wilmington, NC 28403 or a charity of one's choice.
