Lavon McCune, 80, of 1350 English Blvd., Marion, died Thursday afternoon in St. Luke's Hospital after a sudden illness.
Born July 17, 1909, at Marion, she married Willard McCune February 12, 1932. He died in 1966. Before retiring, Mrs. McCune was a bookkeeper for First National Bank, Marion, for many years. She was a member of First United Methodist, Marion, and Marion Business Girls.
Survivors include a daughter, Janet Christensen of Jupiter, Florida; a brother, Dallis Carsner of Pottersville, Missouri; two grandchildren and a great-grandson.
Services: 10 a.m. Tuesday, Murdoch Chapel, Marion, by the Rev. Jon Gaul. Burial: Cedar Memorial Park Cemetery. Friends may call from 5 to 9 p.m. Monday in the chapel.
