Funeral services for Robert Malcom Bruce, 79, are to be held Thursday at 2 p.m. at Mars Hill Church of Christ. Mrs. Bruce died Tuesday at 2:15 a.m. at his home at St. Paul. He had suffered a cerebral hemorrhage a week ago.
Mr. Bruce was born Aug. 21, 1870, a son of Mr. and Mrs. Alexander Bruce. He spent his entire life on the farm where he was born and died.
On April 25, 1900, he was married to Laura Greenslaite, who preceded him in death in 1941.
He is survived by a son, Ralph Bruce of Lima; a granddaughter, Rosemary; a brother, Charles E. Bruce of St. Paul.
Mr. Bruce was a member of Mars Hill Church of Christ.
Rev. Alfred Clifton of Vanceburg and Allen S. Duffey of Sciotoville are to officiate at the last rites. Burial will be in Mars Hill Cemetery, near the church, under direction of Morton Funeral Home.
The body may be viewed at the Bruce residence until the funeral hour.
