Espy M. Potts, 78, of Schellsburg, died the morning of April 16, 1956 at home. Born in Somerset County, Nov 29, 1877, a son of Sylvester S. and Susan (Reel) Potts.
Survived by his widow, the former Elizabeth Dull, whom he married Dec 12, 1901, these children: Walter of Dauphin; Floyd of Pleasantville; Glenn of Harrisburg; Clarence of Waynesburg; Harry of Schellsburg R.D; James of Chambersburg; and Hilda, wife of William Weaver, of Schellsburg; a sister, Mrs. Harvey Nunamaker of Schellsburg; 14 grandchildren; and 4 great-grandchildren. A brother and a sister preceded him in death.
A member of Schellsburg Lutheran Church, IOOF of Schellsburg, and Charter member of Bedford LOOM. Service at 2 p.m. Wed at Schellsburg Lutheran Church, Rev. Homer Duppstadt. Interment Schellsburg Cemetery. Friends received at late residence until 1 p.m. Wed, when remains will be removed to church. Arrangements in charge of Mickle Funeral Home, Schellsburg.
