ENOSBURG FALLS – Maria L. Magoon, age 74 died Friday, January 6, 2012 at Fletcher Allen Health Care in Burlington surrounded by her loved ones.
She was born September 21, 1937 in Rio Grande, Puerto Rico the daughter of the late Feliz Pimentel & Ramone Delgado.
She attended La Central High School in Santurce, Puerto Rico. On October 22, 1960 she married Jon Magoon and moved to Richford. Later they made their home in Enosburg Falls. Maria enjoyed flower gardening, playing BINGO and being with her family and friends. She loved to dance and visit her relatives in Puerto Rico.
She is survived by her husband, Jon Magoon; her children, Mark and his wife Jeanne Whiting Magoon of Enosburg Falls, Jean and her husband Richard Otto of Rancho Palos, CA, and Lance Magoon of Richford; her grandchildren, Dylan & Carly Magoon and Devin Otto; her brother, Jose Delgado and his wife Milagro Torres; and her sister, Gloria and her husband Rafael Diaz all of Puerto Rico; several nieces, nephews and cousins.
A memorial service will be held Thursday, January 12, 2012 at 11:00 AM at the Enosburg Falls United Methodist Church, 245 Church St., Enosburg Falls with Rev. Jon Bly officiating. Interment will be next spring at the Hillside Cemetery in Richford. There will be no visiting hours.
