The funeral services were held on Saturday, conducted by her pastor Rev. J. A. Martin, assisted by Rev. W. M. Creamer. Interment took place in Poplar Springs cemetery, near Ware Shoals.
Mrs. McKee was widely known here and else where, having resided here for a number of years. She was held in high esteem by those who knew her. She was of a noble Christian character, a consistent member of the Baptist church for a long number of years. She was always ready to lend a helping hand, and was especially a much devoted and faithful mother and grandmother.
Mrs. McKee was preceded to the grave twenty-five years by her husband, A. L. McKee.
The following children survive her: T. E. McKee, of Mill Spring, N.C; J. D. McKee, of Greenwood; J. A. McKee, of Laurens; Mrs. N. H. Hill, Gray Court; Mrs. G. H. (Unreadable), of Laurens; Mrs. C. W. Wilson, Spartanburg; Mrs. R. L. Patton, Ninety Six; and Mrs. J. C. Thomas, Laurens.
