He also was a trombone player with the Greentown Band. He practices his trombone while delivering his mail. The farmers on his route often heard him coming as they worked in their fields. He lived to be 84 and his first wife, 45. Later he married Daisy Griffin. She had two boys, Verlin and Harold Griffin." (p. 130)
