Shelbyville - Memorial services for Mrs. Agnes Reiss Austin, who died Wednesday in a Memphis, Tenn. hospital, were conducted Thursday afternoon in the home of her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Adolph Reiss on North First Street. Rev. J. B. Ringle was in charge.
Mrs. Austin was born in Shelbyville and was graduated from Shelbyville High School with the class of 1905. Later she took a course in music at Valparaiso University. In 1913 she was married to Lester Austin who, with two sons, Charles Edward and Lester, Jr., is left.
Mrs. Austin's husband was an instructor in music of the Memphis College and also director of the city orchestra. The family had resided in Memphis for a number of years.
