Barbara C. Belford, 80, of Westernport, Md., died Tuesday, December 20, 2011 at Western Maryland Regional Medical Center in Cumberland, Md.

She was born June 14, 1931 at Frederick, Md., the daughter of the late Elwood Wilson Crum and Evelyn Irene Null Crum.

She retired from the U.S. Government at Fort Detrick after 18 1/2 years of service. She owned and operated the Clothes Clinic on Shookstown Road in Frederick and at Walmart in Eastland, Texas, Florida and Hagerstown, Md.

Surviving are her husband Vernon E. Belford, Westernport; four children, Richard Irving Beall, Boonsboro, Md., Joan Louise Geisbert, Albany, Texas, Patricia Irene Woolam, Eastland, Texas and Donald Robert Beall, Smithsburg, Md.; one sister, Nancy Jean Geisbert, Frederick; one stepdaughter, Deanna McGlade, Diamondhead, Miss.; nine grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by first husband, Irving Leroy Beall.

Funeral services were held Saturday, December 24 at the Kimble Funeral Home in Paw Paw with Rev. Robert Combs officiating. Burial was at Ginevan Cemetery.
