LILLIAN O. DEAN

Lillian O. Dean, 78, of 1600 Sherman Ave. Whiting, died unexpectedly Thursday, Nov. 27, 2003, at home.

Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Monday at St. Paul Lutheran Church. The Rev. Mark Friedrich will officiate. Burial will be at Restlawn Memorial Park. Friends may call at Boston Funeral Home from 4 to 8 p.m. Sunday and from 10 a.m. until time of services Monday at the church. A memorial will be established in her name.

Lillian was born Dec. 29, 1924, in Beaver Dam, to the late Walter and Helen (Priest) Loeck. She grew up and attended school in Beaver Dam.

Lillian married Glenn R. Dean on May 22, 1942, in Beaver Dam. They farmed in the Beaver Dam area for a while. She moved with her family to Stevens Point in 1946, when her husband joined Consolidated Papers. Lillian worked for a time at Bob’s Food King in Stevens Point.

Glenn preceded Lillian in death Oct. 20, 1985.

Lillian enjoyed crocheting and knitting.

Lillian is survived by one daughter, Helen McCord of Scottsdale, Ariz.; two sons, William (Cheryl) Dean of Stevens Point, and Thomas (Frieda) Dean of Nekoosa; nine grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. She also is survived by two sisters, Gertrude (Carl) Maas and Leona Garb, both of Beaver Dam, and one brother, Jim Loeck of Beaver Dam.

Besides her husband and parents, she is preceded in death by a son, Glenn Jr., and two brothers.
