Betty lived in Worcester until she moved to Milbury in 1948. She has lived in Auburn since 2004. She first went to work for several years as a salesclerk at the Newberry's Five and Ten Cents Store, Worcester. After marrying Nel, they moved to Millbury where they raised their six childen and where she was active for many years in the Assumption School Parent Teachers Guild, the Guild of St. Agnes, Worcester, and various mothers' clubs. She returned to the workforce in 1970 at the David Clark Co., Worcester, where she cemented the seams of NASA spacesuits. She retired in 1985. She was a loyal member of Our Lady of the Assumption Catholic Parish and she worked for many years on the parish bingo committee where she was a mainstay of the kitchen crew. She and Nel also delivered Meals On Wheels for the Millbury Senior Center for several years.
