Mrs. Joyce Elaine Bennett Peacock, 78 of Blackshear, passed away early Thursday morning, January 5, 2012, at the Satilla Medical Center.
Born in Blackshear on November 19, 1933, she had lived in Pierce County all of her life. Mrs. Peacock had worked as a streamstress for Blackshear Apparel for 25 years and was a member of Hacklebarney Baptist Church.
Mrs. Peacock was a daughter of the late Archie Edmond & Leona Tuten Bennett. She was also preceded in death by her step-mother who raised her since she was two years old, Mary Cooler Bennett; her first husband, James Elbert Crawford, Sr.; her second husband, Virlyn Peacock, Sr.; a son, James Crawford; a sister, Deloris Carter and a great grandchild, Ethan Crawford.
Survivors include four sons and three daughters-in-law, Larry & Connie Crawford, Travis and Dollie Crawford, Keith Crawford and Frances & Michelle Peacock all of Blackshear; two sisters and a brother-in-law, Shirley Outlaw and Eva & Wade Spooner all of Blackshear; a brother, Edward Bennett of Blackshear; 7 grandchildren, Andrew Crawford, Chris Crawford, Janice Springer, Will Crawford, Christy Crawford, Dustin Crawford and Kayla Peacock; 10 great grandchildren and several nieces, nephews & other relatives.

Donations in Mrs. Peacock's memory may be made to Shiloh Primitive Baptist Church Cemetery Fund or to Enon Prmitive Baptist Church Cemetery Fund.
Visitation:
Visitation for Mrs. Peacock will be held Friday evening from 6 until 8 at the funeral home.

Funeral services for Mrs. Peacock will be held Saturday afternoon, January 7, 2012, at 2:00 o'clock from the Pearson-Dial Chapel.
Cemetery:
Interment will be in the Shiloh Cemetery.
