Lawrence F. Broderick, Jr., 74, of Allenstown NH passed away on April 6, 2010, at the Elliot Hospital, Manchester NH. Lawrence was born in Lexington MA on March 15, 1936, son of the late Lawrence Broderick, Sr., and Anna (Connolly) Broderick. He was the widower of Rita (Beaulac) Broderick, who died January 10, 2005. Lawrence was a longtime resident of Allenstown. He was a U.S. Army veteran serving from 1956 to 1959, re-enlisting in 1985 to the Army Reserve. Prior to his retirement, Lawrence had been employed by JP Noonan in Hooksett NH. He was a member of Amvets Post 29 of Fitchburg MA.
Lawrence was predeceased by his first wife Doris (Peck) Broderick and son Brian Broderick.
Family members include his daughters Cynthia Broderick of Littleton MA, Barbara Sowerbutts and husband John of Hudson NH, and Donna Higgins of Litchfield NH; sons; Lawrence Broderick III and wife Susan of Westminster MA, and Kevin Broderick and wife Carrie of Ashburnham MA; grandchildren Shannon Broderick, Claire Broderick, Ashland Ann Broderick, Megan Broderick, Michael Broderick, Zachary Broderick, Linda Delphia, Anthony Doody, Mark DeVarney, and Christiana Djerbaka; several great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren; and sisters Anne Marie Mahoney of Lincoln MA, Kathleen Trefethen of Newport RI, and Patricia Shover and husband Richard of Westfield VT.
Visiting hours will be Sunday from 2 to 6 p.m. in Anctil-Rochette & Son Funeral Home, 21 Kinsley St., Nashua. A Mass of Christian burial will be Monday 10 a.m. in St. Louis de Gonzague Church, 48 West Hollis St., Nashua. Burial will follow in St. Louis de Gonzague Cemetery.
