Great Falls, Mont.--William G. Downing, one of the oldest and most prominent members of the Cascade county bar, died in his apartments in the Hotel Rainbow a few days ago. Mr. Downing was about 61 years of age, came to Great Falls in 1892 from Kansas City. He had been a member of the Missouri legislature during his residence in that state. Although very prominent in democratic politics in this state, he never aspired to office. He is survived by his wife and two daughters.
