Cynthia's year of birth is estimated.

Cynthia married Napoleon Bonaparte Sprinkle on 9 Sep 1830 in Wythe Co., VA.

The marriage record shows her surname was Surat; however, there is some debate as to her maiden name. Several of her children's death certificates show her maiden name as Fry, so we have used that. However, DNA test results of descendants of Cynthia appear to show a connection to the Surat family.

Napoleon & Cynthia later divorced or separated. She did not remarry.

Napoleon & Cynthia's children included: Daniel; Jane; William; Elizabeth (Johnson); Andrew; Sarah; Margaret Anne (Cadle); Martha (Percival); & Julia Ann (McNamara). They were all born in VA. Cynthia also had a son named John Sprinkles, who was conceived and born while Napoleon was in prison. Additionally, Daniel may have been her son but not Napoleon's biological child.

At the time of the 1850 census, Cynthia was enumerated with her children in Lee Co., VA. In 1860 & 1870, she was enumerated in Claiborne Co., TN.

Her place of burial is not known.
