An extremely sad and pathetic death was that of Mrs. Gertrude Emily SHADBURNE, nee Heinig, which occurred at the family residence No. 1324 Highland Avenue on February 3. Two days before she took to her bed with pneumonia, which rapidly involved both lungs and ended her life in spite of the best care and medical attention. The deceased was a daughter of Mr. F.E. Heinig and his wife Elizabeth, nee Strohmeier, and the wife of Mr. Walker W. Shadburne to whom she was married nine years ago. He with two young children, one sister, Miss Ida Heinig and two brothers, Edward and Louis Heinig together with a numerous company of sorrowing friends surrounded her grave at Cave Hill when on February 5 her lifeless body was laid away in the snow covered earth. One month before her brother, Mr. Eugene Heinig lost his life suddenly as the result of a railroad accident. Mrs. Shadburn's age was only thirty-five years.
