Mr. Charlie F. Kinnett, 85 years of age, died at his home in Horse Shoe Bottom, Friday morning at 10:30 o'clock, following a stroke of apoplexy.

Mr. Kinnett was one of the best known citizens of the county, having resided here for more than forty-eight years and being actively identified with the farming and business interests of the county. He was a native of Wayne County, and a member of the Presbyterian Church, having professed faith in his eighteenth year.

Mr. Kinnett had been a member of the Masonic order for more than 64 years, being the oldest member from the point of service on the rolls in Russell County. He took a very active interest in the work
when physically able and rarely ever missed a regular meeting of the lodge.

He bad been twice married. The first time to Miss Elizabeth Toler, who preceded him to the grave about thirty-five years ago. His second wife was Miss Florence Hughes, who with the following children by the first marriage survive him: Mrs. T.T. Coe, of this city, Mrs. A.L. Coe of Horse Shoe Bottom, Miss Artie Kinnett of Horse Shoe Bottom, Messrs. B.S. and E.O. Kinnett of Jamestown and E.C. Kinnett.

The funeral services were held at the Methodist Church, Sunday afternoon at 2:30 'clock, conducted by the Rev. Joe Woldridge, assisted by the pastor Rev. Howard O'Banion.

The burial services were in charge of the Masonic order and there were sixty two Masons taking part. The crowd attending the funeral services was said to have been one of the largest seen in Jamestown at a -- of the deceased.
