Judith West Jolly, better known as "Annie," 87 of Jackson Street, died Tuesday, January 3, 2012 in Three Rivers Health and Rehab, Windsor. Mrs. Jolly was born in Columbia, NC and was the daughter of the late Henry West and Maggie Harrelson West. Retired from the former George C. Moore Company in Edenton, she was also known for babysitting for many years. Mrs. Jolly was a member of Edenton Baptist Church and a faithful member of the church choir. She was a member of the E. L. Wells group and a member of the Joy club. Mrs. Jolly served as treasurer and member of the Chowan County Extension and Community Association. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph M. Jolly Sr.; brothers, Willie West, Sollie West and Steannie West and a grandson Christopher Lee. Surviving are four daughters: June Ramsey of Suffolk, VA, Cynthia Keeter of Orlando, FL, Donna Basnight of Edenton, NC and Wanda Fenz of Nags Head, NC; two sons: Jack Berry of Myrtle Beach, SC and JM Jolly of Hertford, NC; 18 grandchildren: Shannon Bracy of Kitty Hawk, NC, Lisa Dennis of Currituck, NC, Solomen Berry of Camden, NC, Angel Vessey of Camden, NC, Samantha Nadz of Camden, NC, Billy Berry of Camden, NC, Nancy McCurley of Moyock, NC, Linda Ramsey of Suffolk, VA, Cheryl Ramsey of Suffolk, VA, Matthew Fenz of Nags Head, NC, Tiffany Fenz of Nags Head, NC, Kathy Keeter of Orlando, FL, Judy Keeter of Orlando, FL, Robert Lee of FL, Nikki Basnight of FL, Leanne Basnight of FL, and Amanda Basnight of New Bern, NC and 13great-grandchildren. A Funeral Service celebrating Annie's life will be held Saturday, January 7, 2012 at 11:00 a.m. in Edenton Baptist Church by the Rev. David Brooks and the Rev. Gordon West.
