Richard R. Stahlman, 42, of Chicora RD 1, was found dead at 9:05 pm Friday (December 24, 1976) at his home. He died suddenly of a heart attack. Born Oct. 5, 1934, in Chicora, he was the son of Frank and Ruth Carnahan Stahlman.
He was a member of Mt. Pleasant Lutheran Church, Chicora RD 1; Argyle Lodge 540, F and AM, of Chicora; Veterans of Foreign Wars, Roy Calvin McGinnis Post of Parker; Petroleum Valley Men's Bowling League, and the Paul W. Wood Post 7840 of Hilliards. He was employed by Witco Chemical Company of Petrolia. He had served with the US Navy from Dec. 16, 1959, to March 27, 1963.
Surviving are a daughter, Angela Rhea Stahlman of Chicora; three sisters, Mrs. Earl (Betty) Stoops of West Sunbury RD 2, Alicia M. Stacey of Allison Park, Mrs. Robert (Marion) Heck of Chicora RD 1; a brother, Charles T. Stahlman of East Brady RD 1; and a number of nieces and nephews. Two brothers preceded him in death.
Funeral services were held at 2 pm today from Mt. Pleasant Lutheran Church, Chicora RD 1, with the Rev. Reinhold K. Weber, pastor of Trinity Lutheran Church, Butler, officiating. Burial was made in Mt. Pleasant Cemetery.
