Leyburn Boyd, 66, Eunice, will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Evans Funeral Chapel in Houston with the Revs. Kenneth Gibson and Albert Steelman officiating. Burial will be in Union Chapel Cemetery near here. Mr. Boyd died Sunday morning at the Veterans Administration hospital in Columbia after a brief illness. Mr. Boyd was a World War II veteran and a member of Eunice Baptist Church. Survivors include his wife, Helen; two daughters, Darnella Robbins, Eunice, and Cheryl Garlic, Elizabethtown, three brothers, Wade, Ottis, and Troy, all of Houston; five sisters, Vera Stark, Summersville, Velma Bailey, Hartshorn, Tressie Pursifull, Raymondville, Dovie Garrett, Bucyrus, and Alida Holt, Success; four grandchildren; and three step grandchildren.
