Family history states that he is buried at Pine Knott Cemetery in Toonigh.

Alfred was my great great great grandfather.

Page 283 & 284: State of Georgia, Cherokee County Last will and testament of Alfred Roach, deceased, written 5 February 1894. Item three: After my debts are paid I desire that my estate be divided equally among my children but having already made some advancements to some, I desire that each child who has received such advancement be charged with the amount he or she has received. My children who have already received an advancement are as follows: D.C. sixty dollars, T.H. one hundred dollars, Delila one hundred dollars, A.R. one hundred and thirty five dollars. The following children have received no advancement from my estate and I desire that they should be made equal to those named above. They are J.E., Andrew Joseph, Elizabeth Cantrell, Margarett M. Moss, Narcissa Reece, Susannah Parr and Mary Roach. Item four I hereby constitute and appoint my worthy friends F.L. Delay and James W. Putnam executors of this my last will and testament this 5th day of February 1894. Signed: Alfred Roach Signed in the presence of John D. Attaway - Lee Mullins - Geo. I. Teasley.
