LaVee was born in Emery, Utah on August 23, 1919, a daughter of Nephi and Violet Petty Jorgensen.
She married Urban Wall Haws on June 12, 1942 in Salt Lake City, Utah; he passed away on September 2, 1998.
She was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, she and Urban served four Temple Missions: Brazil, Chile, and two to Guatemala. They were workers for thirty years in the Provo Temple. LaVee spoke fluent Portuguese and Spanish.
LaVee enjoyed making wedding flowers, owned a boutique in Northridge, California; and owned a catering business, Murray Space Shoe Specialist. She loved doing crafts, sewing, quilting, and flower arranging.
Surviving are her children: Janice (Wilbur) Fowler, Brigham City, Utah; and Sherine (Marc) Bench, American Fork, Utah; and four grandchildren, five step-grandchildren, and many great-grandchildren. Also brothers: Cal Jorgensen and Eldon Jorgensen. She was preceded in death by her parents and brothers and sisters: LaVell and Jerry Jorgensen and Zenna Clayburn and Kathleen Young.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, January 6, 2012 in the Brigham City Nineteenth Ward Chapel, 105 Fishburn, Brigham City. Friends may call on Thursday from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. at Myers Mortuary, 205 South 100 East, Brigham City, and Friday from 10:00 to 10:40 a.m. at the church.
Interment will be held at 2:30 p.m. in the Alpine Cemetery, Grove Drive and 445 North, Alpine.
