SERVICE HELD FOR MR. HOBERT ADAMS OF KINGS MOUNTAIN
Mr. Hobert J. Adams, 57, died at the home of his sister, Mrs. Grover Smith, Kings Mountain, at 8 a. m., Wednesday, August 18, after an illness of about six months. For 25 years he had been a faithful employee of the Cincinnati Gas and Electric Company. He had moved back to Kings Mountain in 1946 on sick leave.
Services were held Friday at the Locust Grove Baptist Church with Rev. Roy Robinson officiating and assisted by Rev. Simpson of Ohio. Interment was in the McKinney Cemetery with the Beazley-Raney Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
Survivors include his wife, the former Miss Gladys Clark of Kings Mountain; a daughter, Mrs. Lillian Lalosh, Ft. Mitchell, Ky.; two sons, Mr. Jack W. Adams, Kings Mt., and Mr. Stanley Adams, Hebron; two sisters, Mrs. Grover Smith, Kings Mt., and Mrs. Margaret Strigle of Virginia; three brothers, William, Clifford, and Aris Adams, all of Louisville. He is also survived by eight grandchildren.
Pallbearers were Clark Lucas, David P. Wagner, Hobert C. Adams, Grover C. Smith, Jr., Robert Wagner, Mingo Lalosh, Malcom Wagner and Allen Adams.
