Boonsville — Thurman "Son" Womack, 84, the owner of Womack Trucking and Womack Ranch, died Friday, January 16, 2004, at home in Boonsville.

His funeral is scheduled for 2 p.m. at Balsora Baptist Church with burial in Boonsville Cemetery.

He was born to J.C. and Betty Womack on April 6, 1919. He was a loving husband, dad, pa and best friend to many. He was a member of Balsora Baptist Church. He was preceded in death by his wife, Dorothy; son, James Gary; grandson, Gary Wayne; nine brothers and sisters; and his parents.

He is survided by his son, Sam Womack and wife, Kelly; daughter-in-law, Peggy Shepherd and husband, B.J.; granddaughter, Kelli Ross and husband, Terry; grandson, Sean Womack and wife, Christa; great-grandchildren, Amanda Ross, Samatha and Skylor Womack, Taylor Province; great-great-grandson, Hunter Ross.
