Our Mom left us and our hearts on a brisk Autumn morning, December 5, 2011. Her life was an honorable, loving example for all of us. She lived a life all of us strive for; full of love, life, energy, humor, thoughtfulness, generosity, a true friend and caring family member. Her spirit shined through her entire being, it radiated through the playful mischief of her smile. She showed us through her steady actions to have faith in the good, to live well, to be friendly, to laugh, to find your heart, to trust your intuition, to love your loved ones, and to appreciate each and every day. Health was a sacred commodity she cherished above riches. Rhea valued friendship, intellect, muscial talent and warm sunny days. She was extremely proud of her daughters and their children.
Born in Enterprise, Utah October 11, 1916, 95-year-old Rhea left us December 5, 2011 in Cupertino, Ca. at The Forum Adult Residence, her home for over 17 years. Her legacy lives on in daughters Joanie Hinman (Dick) and Julia Niland (Edward), 4 grandchildren, Craig, Robb, Jessica, Danielle; 6 great-grandchildren, Garrett, Brandon, Greyson, Rose, Nigel, Cora, two sisters; Shirley and Helen, and many nieces and nephews.
We love you dearly. We miss you terribly. There will be a Memorial to celebrate Rhea's remarkable life in the new year in Scotts Valley.
In memory of Rhea, donations may be made to Children's Grief Center, 3001 Trellis Dr., Albuquerque, N.M. 87107, or your charity of choice.
