Ruth M. Miller Warnecke, 94, went to be with her Lord and Savior at 12:30 p.m. on Saturday, December 31, 2011, at York Hospital. She was the wife of the late Curtis R. Miller and the late Gerald V. Warnecke.

Born October 22, 1917, Ruth was a daughter of the late John and Fannie (Yunker) Flohr.

She was a lifelong resident of the Dover community. Ruth had 13 years of service as a cook at York Day Nursery. She was a devoted member of Dover Bethany U.M. Church for over 75 years, where she was a former Sunday School teacher, choir member and church trustee. Ruth will be missed by many, especially her family and friends at Country Meadows. She always lived her life to the fullest and encouraged others to do the same.

Ruth is survived by four children, JoAnn A. Bowers and husband, Robert, of Dover, John C. Miller and wife, Sandra, of Idaho Falls, Idaho, Jeanne N. Golden and husband, Larry, of Odessa, Fla., and Jay P. Miller and wife, Lauren, of Suwanee, Georgia; 10 grandchildren; and 14 great-grandchildren. In addition to her husbands and parents, she was preceded in death by brothers, Paul Flohr, Richard Flohr, Kenneth Flohr and a sister, Hazel Dentler.

Burial will follow in Dover Bethany Cemetery.
