Louis I. Shrader, founder fifty years ago of the L. I. Shrader Lumber Company, 15th and Elm, New Albany, died at 7:30 p.m. Friday at his home, 1825 E. Spring. He had been suffering from a complication of diseases for the last six weeks. Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Harriett R. Shrader; brothers, J. W. Shrader and A. T. Shrader; sister, Mrs. Katherine Slider and a granddaughter. He was a member of the Hutchinson Memorial Presbyterian Church. - New Albany Tribune 31 Dec 1938
