Charles L. Gorshe, 91, of Ely died Friday, January 14, 2000, in Ely-Bloomenson Nursing Home.
He was born November 27, 1908, in Ely to Charles and Mary (Zbasnik) Gorshe. For 21 years, he worked at Zenith Mine in Ely and later for 16 years as maintenance mechanic at Erie Mining. He was a member of the AFU Lodge 200 and the Western Slavonic 67, both in Ely.
He was preceded in death by his parents; and sisters Mary Deyak, Caroline Likar, Frances Urbas and Angela Lobe.
Survivors include his wife, Mary; sisters Jennie Mihelcich, Julia Fink and Amelia Novak; and numerous nieces and nephews.
