Loyd Rousey was the son of the late William Riley Rousey and Lucendia Bell Miller Rousey.

On March 5, 1924 he married Tina Janetta Rich. They were the parents of four daughters, Margaret Rousey Berry, Nina Rousey Hatter, Shirley Rousey Adams and Anita Rousey McMullin; and seven sons, Robert Rousey, Phillip Rousey, Patrick Allen Rousey, Buddy Rousey, Sherwood Rousey, Palmer Rousey and Ronald Rousey.

Arrangements were entrusted to W.L. Pruitt Funeral Home, Moreland, KY.
